Mariah Carey is working and playing hard in Las Vegas. During a break from her concert residency at Caesars Palace, the singer let loose at a Chippendales show
starring Tyson Beckford. It wasn't your typical show with a star in the
audience, though — at one point, Tyson escorted Mariah to the stage and
gave her a performance she'll never forget. Mariah was sure to show her
appreciation, tucking some cash into his pants. She later posted a
photo of the experience on Instagram, writing, "Again, I've no idea how I

Mariah Carey Dropped a New Single and It Sounds Just Like the 90s

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Mariah Carey’s latest song –– the only new track on her greatest-hits album Mariah Carey #1 To Infinity –– should be dipped in nostalgia. But I’m not sure any of us were prepared for the nostalgia trip to go this
far down memory lane. The song, “Infinity,” dropped on iTunes, Spotify,
and YouTube tonight and between the corny (like Fritos) lyrics and the
breathy Carey vocal runs, we’re right back in the plaid shirt-wearing,
tire swing-frolicking days of yore. The new song marks a reunion between
Carey and Epic CEO Antonio “L.A.” Reid
who helped put together best-selling album The Emancipation of Mimi.

The compilation album and new single are part of a larger Carey comeback effort that involves a #1 to Infinity show at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Though the initial video for “Infinity” involves some cheesy visuals to
go with the corny lyrics (just some more of that throwback feel, we
assume), Carey will eventually release a more standard video for the

Mariah Carey ended 2014 with a rough performance and it looks like 2015 isn't doing her any favors either.

Fans poured out in waves to see the famous diva perform at the Jamaica Jazz
and Blues festival, but instead of seeing Mariah singing her heart out, they watched her lip sync...and completely fail at that, too. The Jamaica Observer had praised the "Always Be My Baby" singer's performance, but fans went to the publication's website to slam its reporting after it called her "one of the best."

One commenter wrote, "All Mariah did was lip sync.....I guess the crowd was more excited to see Marian perform than to listen for a genuine performance," while another one went so far as to say, "I must have witnessed a different show."

Another fan agreed with the masses, noting, "She was lipping all night. At one point she had the mic at her mouth the song was playing and the crowd swear she was singing… She
didn't do one live song."

One other user revealed that the festival's attendees were
allegedly screaming, "There were persons shouting, 'We want the real
Mariah!'"

The videos clearly show Mariah either mouthing the wrong words or lipping nothing at all, leaving the music to do all of the work for her. It's unclear whether or not she was missing cues or had simply forgotten her own lyrics, but the proof is definitely in this pudding!

The "Hero" crooner didn't receive reviews that were any better after her live performance at the Christmas tree lighting in December. The usually incredibly talented singer struggled to hit the high notes she is famous for and also fumbled with her earpiece throughout her time on stage.

She has been going through a rough time in her personal life with estranged husband Nick Cannon filing for divorce after six years of marriage, which also could be taking its toll on her performances.

Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas' Gets 20 Remixed Music Styles

Looks like Mariah has some competition. After Carey got some serious internet flack for flubbing notes on her holiday hit at Rockefeller Center's tree lighting ceremony, singer and popular YouTuber Anthony Vincent
has released his own unusual version of "All I Want For Christmas" in
the style of 20 different singers. Vincent's take on the now 20-year-old Christmas classic runs the gamut from Nat King Cole to Depeche Mode, with a spot-on imitation of the song stylings of Thurl Ravenscroft (aka the original Grinch).


The talented 26-year old singer/songwriter (who is a bit of a ringer for hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Keidis)
has taken off over the last few months by specializing in these mash-up
covers of pop hits from superstars like Katy Perry and Michael
Jackson. Now this latest video from his Ten Second Songs channel might be his biggest hit so far. While it's hardly the first Carey cover to go viral, Vincent's version went up on YouTube less than 24 hours ago and has already racked up over a million hits.

Janet Jackson is clearly the pop queen of the `90s, with the decade
kicking off while her fourth studio album ruled the airwaves. Rhythm Nation
was actually released in 1989, but the groundbreaking LP was still
churning out Top 10 hits through 1991. According to Billboard, the LP
was the best-selling album of 1990.

Don’t act like you didn’t begin your childhood aimlessly dancing to
“Alright,” “Escapade,” and “Love Will Never Do (Without You).” Plus, who
could forget the video from the album’s title track?

The Rhythm Nation formula obviously worked for Jackson, but she completely reinvented herself for her next LP, simply titled janet.
Before releasing her fifth studio album in 1993, she’d switched record
labels. Jackson hopped from A&M Records to Virgin Records with an
estimated $40 million deal. Her contract ushered in a new era of
multimillion-dollar deals, with Madonna, Prince, and even brother
Michael following behind her.

For the janet. LP, Jackson ditched her sexually conservative
style, opting for a more empowering vibe. Songs like “If” and “Any Time,
Any Place” saw Jackson describe voracious sexual appetites while
maintaining her subdued vocal style. She solidified her sex symbol
status with one of Rolling Stone magazine’s most iconic covers.

Janet.
debuted at the top of Billboard’s Top 200 and stayed there for six
weeks. It remains only a handful of albums to achieve that feat. The
lead single, “That’s The Way Love Goes,” was No. 1 on Billboard’s
singles chart for eight weeks, longer than any song from the Jackson
clan. Remember, we’re talking about an insanely talented family here,
and Miss Jackson totally bested her brothers — yes, even Michael!But it’s all good. Janet and Michael didn’t have any bad blood between them, at least judging from their 1995 hit, “Scream.”

Though janet. signaled great heights for Jackson, she
suffered an emotional breakdown ahead of recording her next album. She
began exploring her pain and her self-discovery inspired new music. Her
final `90s release, 1997’s The Velvet Rope, is still hailed as Jackson’s most personal and ambitious album.

Jackson wasn’t afraid to get freaky, with songs like “Rope Burn”
describing her sexual penchants for bondage and candle wax. She also
retained her pop roots with singles like “Together Again,” which wound
up being Jackson’s highest-selling song globally.

Since Janet Jackson managed various personas throughout the `90s and
still came out on top, there’s no way anyone else owned the decade.
Post-Control and pre-Nipplegate was clearly Jackson’s era as pop queen.

MANILA, Philippines – Her reported “vocal malfunction” during the earlier stops of her concert tour made Pinoy audiences worry if the popular 90s diva would be able to turn in a good performance once she lands in the Philippines.

But the fans shouldn't have worried, as Mariah Carey hit all the right notes during the Manila leg of her “The Elusive Chanteuse Show” concert tour at the Mall of Asia Arena on Tuesday.

Mariah opened her concert with “Fantasy,” “Touch My Body,” and “Shake It Off,” then segueing to her early 90s hit “Emotions,” which allowed her to showcase her famed whistle register.

“It's so good to be here tonight,” Mariah said, who constantly acknowledged her fans throughout the concert. “I'm giving you a hug right now,” she said. “I just want to thank you guys so much for being
so incredible.”

The 18-song concert set consisted of hits such as “Hero” and “Always Be My Baby” and newer songs like “Thirsty” and “Meteorite.”

As the 44-year-old singer kicked off her Elusive Chanteuse World Tour in
Tokyo last night, but it seems her energetic set didn't go down too well
with some fans.
One Twitter user, Elle, wrote: 'It's a wrap for Mariah Carey's singing career. You're a legend. Time to retire. She can't sing anymore. At all. What happened?'

Rumor has it, the singer was "devastated" by Nick's statement. "They had agreed to work on a statement together. A joint statement was being prepared when he went and gave those quotes to The Insider," an insider told E! News.

"She thinks it was extremely childish, impulsive and opportunistic," the source added. "For her, it was the last straw. She's done with him now." The insider said, "He was not supposed to say a word ... "It's no longer amicable. Things are getting ugly."
In his statement, Nick, 33, didn't specify the reason why they grew apart, but he denied infidelity rumor. "My main focus is my kids," the "America's Got Talent" presenter said of their 3-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
Nick and Mariah, 44, married in the Bahamas in April 2008 after just six weeks of dating. The couple renewed their vows in lavish ceremonies every year except for their most recent anniversary which they claimed was celebrated in a low-key event.

Nick Cannon: Depressed Over Mariah Carey Split, Rarely Gets to See His Children

Rumors had been circulating for months, so few were surprised yesterday when Nick Cannon confirmed his separation from Mariah Carey.Even so, going public with the split may have been a foolish move on Cannon's part.

Reports that Cannon cheated on Mariah
appear to be false, but even so, Carey seems to be holding all the
cards with regard to custody of the couple's two-year-old-twins.


Sources say Carey is "pissed"
that Cannon went public despite signing a non-disclosure agreement, and
she may take it out on him by further restricting his already limited
visitation rights.


While we don't know the cause of the separation of who initiated it,
insiders seem to think it wasn't Cannon's idea, but he may be the one
who holds most of the blame.


While Carey has been permitted to stay at home with the children,
Cannon has reportedly been living in hotels for several months, which
seems to indicate that there was some indiscretion on Cannon's part.


Friends close to Cannon say the comedian seems "depressed," and likely
went public with the news of his separation simply because he'd reached a
low point and was tired of keeping up appearances.

Though it seems Cannon didn't make his revelation for revenge purposes,
he may still face retribution from Carey who reportedly wanted to keep
the split a secret until after her upcoming tour.

Nick Cannon Confirms What We All Feared About His Marriage to Mariah Carey

This is really sad! Speculation started earlier this week that Nick Cannon and his wife Mariah Carey
were on the brink of divorce. Neither party has mentioned the 'D' word
themselves, with Mariah staying totally mum on the issue. But today, Cannon himself spoke up
and admitted that things haven't been going well for a while now
between the couple, who have two kids together. Ugh! This makes me
genuinely sad for reasons I cannot fully explain.


While Cannon is open about the fact that he and Mariah have been "living separate lives,"
he doesn't seem to think that this means their marriage is over. Or if
that's what he's really thinking, he's not saying it. Cannon seems like a
good guy and, true to this, says his biggest priority throughout this
time of upheaval with Mariah is to maintain a stable and happy life for
their children. Nick Cannon. I have quietly come to believe that you are
the greatest.

Nick wouldn't tell interviewers what, exactly, what caused their marital problems. But he was really quick to shoot down the notion that their schism was because of any infidelity. That's what the rumor mill had been speculating could be the source of his friction with his lady fair.


Living two separate lives in two separate homes
isn't exactly a vote of confidence for their marriage in the long-term,
but I really want to believe in these crazy kids. Maybe his upfront
nature and honesty with the reporters was an attempt to send a message
to Mariah that he's shaping up, if, in fact, he is in any way the
responsible party.


I really hope these two work it out. Their kids are beautiful, and
this duo is perfectly kooky for each other -- that's reason enough to
try and make it work. If they need further incentive, I would remind

What is up with the universe? Is Mercury in Retrograde again or something?
It seems like our favorite celebrity couples are dropping like flies.
First Gwyneth and Chris. Then Bey and Jay. Now Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon!
I confess this is one couple I thought would go the distance, if just
for the fact that Mariah is such a great catch for Nick. (I don't care
what you say, she is way out of his league.)


Still, Nick confirmed that there was "trouble in paradise" (his
words) and the two were living separate lives -- and reports have it
that they are getting legal counsel in preparation for divorce. Yikes!
What happened?! Oddly, one report has it that a certain celebrity is
behind all of this. And she happens to be married with a child. And her
name is ... drum roll, please ... Kim Kardashian! Huh?!

Well, you all might remember (or not) that Kim and Nick dated
ages ago. Way before Kim was famous, and way before she had her current
face. They dated for like a nanosecond, but just enough to get some
paparazzi shots taken, so there is actual proof of this.


Apparently the couple's marriage woes began when Nick gave an interview a few months back dishing on how many celebrities he'd slept with. Asked by a radio station to reveal five famous luvahs, Nick replied:

That's easy. OK, Mariah Carey, Christina Milian, Nicole Scherzinger, Selita Ebanks, oh, Kim Kardashian.

Oh, yikes, Nick! It's not cool to f**k and tell! About Kim, he added:

You just forgot (about her) because there have been a lot of people since me.

Rumor has it Mariah was NOT thrilled with this admission, and Nick had to backtrack later in another interview, saying:

She doesn’t even know who Kim Kardashian is. She doesn’t pay
attention to that. She doesn’t care when I talk about our sex life
because our sex life is amazing.

Oh, but apparently she DID care, because soon afterward, Mimi began calling in the lawyers.


But Mariah isn't taking any chances that Nick is going to keep blabbing, and reportedly hit him with a legal muzzle. If he talks about her now, he'll get slapped with penalties.


Nick, how could you screw up such a good thing? Dumbass.


Well, I find it hard to believe that Mariah would divorce Nick just
because of some obnoxious comments. She must be used to that. I'm
guessing it was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Awards, broadcast live on Sunday, June 29—but the network got "stuck on"
the spelling of the R&B crooner's surname. As the "Hello" singer,
65, accepted his honor onstage, his name was spelled "Ritchie." (Perhaps
producers were thinking of another "Ritchie": Unlike Lionel and his
also-famous daughter Nicole, British director and Madonna ex Guy Ritchie has a T in his last name.)

Seemingly unaware of the snafu, Richie basked in the glow of his

The "I Luh Ya Papi" singer stopped by "Watch What Happens Live" on Thursday, where she opened up about her exes Casper Smart, Ben Affleck and Cris Judd and also talked about her "feud" with Mariah Carey.

Lopez was nervous to participate in the "Plead the Fifth" segment, which allows for only one veto. "Can I leave? Am I trapped in here?" she asked. "I'm gonna start having anxiety."

Host Andy Cohen started with her love life, asking J.Lo about Affleck's fashion transformation.

"I
did kind of like, say, 'You're a movie star! You should wear a suit!
You should do this with your hair!' For sure. I mean, I do that," the
44-year-old star admitted. "By the way, guys do that to girls, too: 'I
like that dress better than the other dress.'" According to Lopez,
Affleck "was into it. He didn't do anything he didn't want to do...He
had some good fashion moments when he was with me!"

Cohen also
asked Jennifer whether dancers, singers or actors are better in bed. "I
have to say that in my limited experience, I would have to say anybody
involved in music," she offered. "So I would say singers and dancers. I
forgot my card! Dammit! I could've pleaded the fifth!"

Sorry lambs, but apparently elusive is another way to describe Mariah Carey album sales. The diva's Me. I Am Mariah...The Elusive Chanteuse LP opens on the Billboard 200 chart with 58,000 copies sold, landing her at No. 3 on the chart.

This
is the smallest opening for a Mariah LP, not including her two holiday
albums, since 1991, when information and sales tracking system SoundScan
was created for precise album sales figures.

Before
eventually hitting No. 1 and selling nine million copies, Mariah Carey's
self-titled debut album from 1990 started at No. 80 on the Billboard
200. This was probably a lower first-week sum than Me. I Am Mariah..., but it was released a year before SoundScan was created. So the numbers a little hazy.

Post-SoundScan era, Me. I Am Mariah... is the "Thirsty" singer's smallest opening since her Emotions LP
from 1991. That record hit No. 4 with 156,000 copies sold. Yeah, back
then not even 156k could get you in the Top 3... go figure.

As hype continues to swell for Mariah Carey's forthcoming new album, the Elusive Chanteuse is giving us another new song, the Wale collaboration "You Don't Know What to Do" live on the TODAY show.
Watch the full live performance above. With Mimi crooning atop a grand piano, the track opens with her belting over a gorgeous piano improv. But the percussion soon kicks in and the D.C. rapper comes in for his first verse.

The rest of the track is laced with funky guitar strums, brass horn blasts and a silky, repetitive hook. Beyoncé has been named the highest-paid black artist of all time.

The
singer has overtaken previous earning records held by Michael Jackson,
Prince and Janet Jackson, following the success of her 'Mrs Carter Show'
world tour.

Beyoncé
pocketed $212 million (£126 million) for the year-long tour, which sold
over 1.8 million tickets across 126 dates, according to Billboard magazine.

The
star's most recent dates in Europe - which spanned across 25 dates from
February to March - earned her $41.1 million (£26m) alone.

The tour largely travelled before the release of Beyoncé's self-titled fifth studio album, which came in December 2013.

However, the last 25 dates did see Beyoncé revamp the 'Mrs Carter Show' to include new tracks, such as 'Drunk In Love' and 'XO'.

Meanwhile, Beyoncé recently announced plans for a new co-headline tour with her husband Jay Z, which will travel across the US this summer.
