Nicki Minaj's 'The Pink Print' Album to Arrive on Black Friday

The follow-up to 2012's 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' has spawned some new tracks including 'Anaconda' that's currently sitting at No. 2 on Billboard Hot 100.

Nicki Minaj's highly-anticipated new album, "The Pink Print", finally has a release date. According to Billboard, the follow-up to 2012's "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" is scheduled to hit the stores on November 28 a.k.a. Black Friday.

Minaj's forthcoming project has been preceded by singles "Pills and Potions" and "Anaconda". The latter track, which samples Sir Mix-a-Lot's 1992 hit "Baby's Got Back", soared to No. 2 on Billboard Hot 100 and at No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart earlier this week following the raptress' performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August
24.

The Young Money artist has said that "The Pink Print" is a nod to Jay-Z's 2001 album "The Blueprint". "I wanted to do that, I wanted to be like Jay Z. I felt like with what
I'm doing, I want female rappers to be able to pattern themselves with what I've done one day," she told MTV.

Of what to expect from the eagerly-awaited LP, Minaj explained to "The Breakfast Club", "I
think the album is so classic. It's gonna feel so good and I think it will probably be something that female rappers look to as a Pinkprint for years to come."

Nicki Minaj
wasn’t happy about how CBS handled the broadcast of her Sept. 9 Fashion
Rocks performance at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, and she wants them to
know it.


Following the show, Nicki took to social media to criticize the CBS
producers for allegedly cutting out parts of her “Anaconda” she wanted
her fans to see.

First, she called out CBS for putting too much focus on the crowd, and not enough on what was going on on stage:



Then she went into more detail. In an Instagram post, she detailed
how CBS cut shots of the choreography during the second verse of
“Anaconda.” She claimed changes could have been made if she was notified
beforehand, but the camerawork left her unable to show off the moves:



The Instagram post came with the following caption:


My darlingz, I wish you could've seen the choreography on the 2nd
verse of ANACONDA last night. It was absolutely divine. CBS decided not
to show it. Had they told us this before, we would have changed the
choreo so that you guys could see the full performance from beginning to
end. They already had you tuned in tho. Artists spend so much of their
own money, time and passion to deliver their fans great performances.
But ultimately, our art usually falls into the hands of people who care
nothing about our art and creativity. Promise you'll get to see this new
choreo soon.

judge rarely covers up her skin this much, which for most people, is

flair skirt is so unusually flattering on the singer, that we are kind
of obsessed. The majority of her music video consists of her wearing a
g-string, so it's very refreshing to see this stylish, more

Lil’ Kim is in full attack mode against Nicki
Minaj and it may be more "complicated" than anyone realizes, according
to T.I., who tells Billboard that things are bound to get sticky when a
“new and younger version” of an artist comes around after one who’s been
"dominating for so long.”

The latest activity in the ongoing rivalry between the female rappers came on Aug. 4 when Kim unleashed her own remix
of Beyonce’s “Flawless,” where she responds to an apparent jab from
Minaj heard in the original remix. Days later Kim released another diss
track aimed at Minaj in "Identity Theft." Minaj has done her part to
keep the beef going with songs like "Stupid Hoe.”



Neither side looks to be calling a truce anytime soon, so Billboard
asked the opinion of someone with perspective on the matter: rapper T.I.


Tip, who has engaged in and helped dissolve
discrepancies in the past, believes that Kim's issue with Minaj aren't
specific to women -- or rappers, for that matter. "This is something
that can happen to men too," he says.


The chatter about Minaj potentially taking Kim’s spot, or Minaj
boldly proclaiming herself the Queen of Rap, doesn't help things either,
T.I. says.


"Just because you heard another person say that you gonna be on
edge," he explains. "I feel like that's more of the case with Kim and
Nicki, even though I don't know what started any of this, it's a little
more complicated to put to bed because of that fact."


He also notes that Minaj being constantly compared to Kim has an
impact as well. "It's gonna put a chip on your shoulder in a different
way too," T.I. says.


Meanwhile, T.I. says his protégé Iggy Azalea “could be” collaborating
on a song with Kim soon, though he wouldn’t confirm. The Aussie rapper
has been pitted against Minaj before. “That's a little more preposterous
like 'what the fuck' because they're not even in each other's lane,"
T.I. says of the Azalea and Minaj.


T.I. is currently busy readying his new album, Paperwork, and
prepping the latest season of T.I. & Tiny's: Family Hustle. He’s
also executive producing a new reality show, The Sisterhood of Hip Hop

The Young Money rapper has been teasing a “surprise”
for her Barbz on Twitter since yesterday, and I was expecting a new
single, or a snippet of a new single, but somehow just the cover art for
a new single managed to top an actual song.


Now, this isn’t the first time that we’ve seen Nicki in this rare squat position, but it just seems to get better every time.


That poor g-string never had a chance.


And, if I had to guess, this is going to be one helluva explicit track.

Nicki Minaj Ends Feud with Hot 97 Radio DJ

Nicki Minaj is willing to play nice.

The rapper agreed to be a guest on New York City's Hot 97 morning radio show yesterday, in an effort to clear the air and squash her almost year-long beef with DJPeter Rosenberg, and it looked like the duo made some good progress.

After throwing some shade at the "Starships" rapper before she hit the Summer Jam stage last year—causing Minaj to pull out of the show completely—Rosenberg explained himself to the best of his ability, and wanted to make it clear that he would never speak ill of Minaj as a person.

He even shared a memory from back in the day when Nicki first got in the game, recalling that he went up to give her props and predicted that she could take over the rap game.

Minaj didn't remember all that, but she did appreciate him taking the time to set the record straight, and simply said, "It's water under the bridge…I mean it's so long ago. I can't even act like I care anymore, but I appreciate you guys having me."

She also added that, "In hindsight...I should've just did the show," and to explain why she took such offense to Rosenberg's comment, Nicki said, "I never found you funny. I never found you entertaining. I never found you smart. I just found you annoying...To me you don't have enough of a resumé to make those comments."

Yes, sounds kinda harsh, but we promise that peace was made, and there might even be a possibility that Barbz will see Nicki perform at the 2013 Summer Jam concert on Sunday.

 Us Weekly is reporting that Nicki Minaj is leaving American Idol after this season. It’s still not entirely confirmed just yet, prompting our own Joe Tranchina to opt instead to wait for confirmation before putting up this story, since he’s actually a reporter who’s good at what he does. I, however, am far more reckless about my reportage, so let’s get to speculating! Because, really, if you can’t trust Us Weekly (your go-to source for confirmation that The Bachelor’s relationship didn’t exactly pan out), then I don’t know who the hell you possibly can trust in this shiftless world.
“It’s safe to say she isn’t coming back to Idol,” an insider told the publication, stating that Minaj will be focusing on her next album, touring, and endorsements. “She’s okay with it. She had a great time but was only going to do one season anyway.”
And it’s for the better, really, since the feud with fellow judge Mariah Carey has been one of the more obnoxious elements of the season, with Minaj blasting the singer as “insecure” and “bitter” following a heated disagreement on the May 1 episode of Idol.
Carey has yet to comment on her future with the reality singing competition series, but her husband, America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon, has been vocal in his belief that it’s unlikely his wife will return for the reality show’s 13th season.
Also mum on his status with the show is Keith Urban, who has yet to state his intentions regarding a second season on the judging panel. Of course, the judges for season 13 could be the California Raisins and Toad the Wet Sprocket for all I care, Randy Jackson is gone!

Nicki Minaj Arrives Late To This Season's First Live Show Of American Idol

No one can control traffic in Los Angeles, but you'd think Nicki Minaj would be better prepared than this!

American Idol did a live show on Wednesday night, but Minaj was nowhere to be found when cameras started rolling. 'We are coming to you live and on time," Ryan Seacrest joked at the start the show. "Say hello to three of your four judges who have made it here on time."

Seacrest motioned towards Minaj's empty seat and said, "I hear she is seven minutes out and there is some congestion on the 405, she should be here momentarily." As expected Mariah Carey looked irritated and shook her head in disbelief as Seacrest introduced the top ten contestants.

"Which one of you gave Nicki the wrong directions today? Which one of you drained the fuel from her car?" Seacrest joked.

Minaj finally showed up 13 minutes into the show, missing Curtis Finch Jr.'s performance, but no one else said anything about her being late. Maybe Mariah piped up and put her in her place?

The Fug Girls: Nicki Minaj Bonds With Anna Wintour at Carolina Herrera

In Fashion Week, indeed as in life, sometimes the best things happen when the lights go down. Moments before Carolina Herrera’s show began on Monday morning, as the room began to dim, we spotted in the distance a glorious platinum bouffant that looked like someone had shampooed with glue and then rolled her head in the pastry section at a local bakery. It sailed in atop a breastplate of pom-poms and neon green leggings, and only then did we notice the face and realize we’d just been Minaj-ed — and in possibly the least likely venue for it, given Carolina’s classic Upper East Side aesthetic. Maybe they’re working on a wig line together, called Carolina Hairerra. Let’s stat that rumor. And let’s add another one to the pile: Nicki sat in a seat that had been reserved for her right next to Anna Wintour (which makes sense — Anna loves tennis; Nicki’s shirt was made of things that used to hang off the back of tennis socks), and they proceeded to chit-chat like old pals, leaving us with no choice but to daydream about what that Vogue cover might look like. Or, better, how tremendous their Odd Couple sitcom remake would be, with Anna cleaning up after Nicki’s chains of stuffed toys and Nicki trying to teach Anna how to use wig tape. Are you listening, NBC?

By contract, Corinne Bailey Rae was about as low-key as they come, popping out in a slightly baggy olive dress and then claiming her seat … in the eighth row. She didn't seem perturbed or even surprised by this development, and in fact gamely introduced herself to the women seated next to her. We spotted an empty front-row seat, so we can only theorize that Bailey Rae is doing research for a new album about what it's like to sit in the nosebleeds, which should be emotionally riveting.

Even the arrival of Renee Zellweger — a Herrera devotee — was relatively tame. She inched out from backstage, met Olivia Munn with a weird motionless handshake that they held for a photo op, as though they were actually at a Middle Eastern peace summit, and then took her seat with the Herrera family without much fuss, wearing the exact same facial expression you envisioned her wearing when you read the words Renee Zellweger just now.

Munn, however, despite her insomnia (“I only get like three or four hours of sleep a night — my mind never shuts off”), was in a chipper mood — doubtless because after the show she was headed backstage to try on dresses and then pick one for the Emmys on Sunday, which sounds like a pretty sweet deal to us. Munn said she hopes this year's awards will be a bit more relaxing for her than last year's were: “I had this gorgeous Zac Posen dress, but right as I was getting ready I had a friend come through and she brought kind of a tornado of drama. Everyone was so flustered that we ended up just throwing my hair in a ponytail and doing almost no makeup,” she recalled. “Which, it’s the Emmys, you know? You want to come fully done. But I was a freshman there last year, and this year, actually I’m still really a freshman, but I know now that I need to take my time.” She paused. “And put the chain on the door.” Words to live by.

Video: 'American Idol' Recap: Nicki Minaj Ignores Basic Fire Safety

Nicki Minaj would prefer to go down with the ship than to walk down the Queen Mary's gangplank in her enormous platform heels. At least that's the impression we got when the fire alarm went off and Nicki just sat there rolling her eyes until Nigel Lythgoe himself told her to scoot.

The excitement all started when 16-year old Jesaiah Baer started singing Kimbra's "Settle Down" and the docked cruise ship's fire alarm went off, forcing the logistical nightmare of a mandatory evacuation of a thousand American Idol hopefuls, and Nicki. For her part, mama Mariah Carey was the first one off the ship, knocking a few deckhands and Randy Jackson out of the way. When the all-clear was finally given, Jesaiah resumed her performance and earned a ticket to Hollywood.

Micah Johnson is the living example of one of those medical horror stories that parents whisper to each other in school hallways – he went in to get his tonsils taken out and came out with nerve damage and a speech impediment. Luckily his speech impediment entirely disappeared when he sang and he quickly procured a ticket to Hollywood. Even though the auditions stretched from San Antonio to Long Beach, California, the only contestant who brought Mariah to tears was Matheus Fernandes. (Avid reality television watchers may have recognized him from his stint on another Fox show, The Glee Project.) The diminutive Matheus has been to lots of doctors in search of a diagnosis, but turns out he's just short. His voice, however, is huge. Again: He made Mariah cry. What else do you need to know? Along with these three contestants, 47 other hopefuls are headed to Hollywood. Here are a few of the highlights: 

"At Last" there was something Nicki and Mariah could agree on: Savannah Votion was Hollywood-bound. From the moment the first two words of Etta James' classic tumbled from her lips, the judges were awed. Mariah looked dumbstruck, and Randy almost ate his fist while she sang. 

Professional worship leader Cristabel Clack sent Mariah to church with her performance of Alicia Keys' "If I Ain't Got You." Mariah held her hands up in praise and announced, "I know you, I get you, I love you." If Hollywood doesn't work out, at least Cristabel Clack has her awesome name to fall back on. 

Ann Difani's husband nominated her to perform on Idol, so with her mysterious Randy-bestowed "special person number" in hand, she sang Faith Hill's "Stronger" in a sweet voice that Keith Urban thought had a "pretty tone." Nicki, Randy and Keith voted yes, but Mariah could only muster a half-hearted "sure." Then she caught herself being indifferent on national television and changed it to "Yes, definitely." 

Papa Peachez doesn't like doing covers, but he does love Nicki Minaj. He sang an original darkly spiritual song about himself. Nicki loved everything about it, of course. After Papa Peachez promised to bring "it" to Hollywood, Randy changed his vote. 

When tiny teen Sanni M'Mairurua isn't singing he does Christian ministry through dance. Randy deemed his Michael Jackson song "fresh." Every time Adam Sanders mentioned Mariah's name he started crying, so it seemed like Idol was prepping him as a joke contestant. That notion dissipated the moment he opened his mouth and delivered a soulful performance so good that Keith, Mariah and Randy gave him a standing ovation. Even more surprising, Nicki was struck mute. Well, almost mute. 

Veteran Matt Farmer suffered a traumatic brain injury and was supposed to have been rendered sterile, but brought his three-year old daughter as proof that he's not firing blanks. With such an adorable prop on his arm, even if he was mediocre, he was through to Hollywood. 

When Stephanie Sanson said she was going to sing Adele's "Set Fire to the Rain," Mariah visibly cringed and she didn't even know yet that the purple-haired girl was going to give a screamo rendition of the song, smash a light and flip America off, twice. 

While Rachel Hale earned the happiest contestant award due to her pasted on smile and peppy performance, Briana Oakley got points for poignancy. The teen was bullied by her classmates after appearing on an episode of Maury as one of America's Most Talented Kids. But she's older and wiser now and knows that she loves music and just wants to sing. Nicki was rendered repetitively monosyllabic ("Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.") by the performance. Hopefully Briana won't get bullied by her fellow contestants in Hollywood. 

Best out-of-context comment: "You definitely have strong pipes." 

Most diva moment: "I need to get my pastor on the phone!" 

Worst fashion: Keith's hair is venturing intoBilly Ray Cyrus circa 1984 territory. 

Best fashion: Based on today's outfits, Nicki's and Mariah's cleavage should get each its own vote and a guest-judge title in the credits. Best Mariah-ism: Mariah doesn't always show up 45 minutes late to auditions, but when she does, she's dressed like a mermaid.

Nicki Minaj doesn't mind not having received any nominations for the upcoming 55th Grammy Awards, she told The Associated Press, though the singer and rapper hinted that the Recording Academy had an ulterior motive for shutting her out.

"I've gotten tons of awards and I believe when it's my time to get a Grammy, I'll get a Grammy," said Minaj, who last year released her second album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, and had a Top-10 hit with the single "Starships." She had received three nominations the year before, including Best New Artist and Best Rap Album for her debut, Pink Friday.

Minaj said she had a theory about why she wasn't nominated this year, but declined to talk about it. "I think that the Grammys had a different reason, that I do not want to discuss . . . and that's just between me and them," she said. "But I respect their organization and I'll get a Grammy eventually. I'm not worried about it."

She's keeping plenty busy in the meantime, thanks to her new gig as a judge on American Idol, where she's already feuded with fellow newcomer Mariah Carey.

Nicki Minaj Hairstylist Quits, Cites ‘Creative Differences’

In one of the more bizarre stories involving a celebrities’ entourage, Nicki Minaj‘s hairstylist has quit the singer’s team, citing “creative differences.”

But in a surprising twist, Terrence Davidson issued a press release to announce the end of his working relationship with the American Idol judge after three years of service.

“Terrence Davidson most recently served as the celebrity hairstylist, wig creator and creative director for Nicki Minaj,” the release stated. “After creative differences, he has decided to pursue other opportunities.”

Davidson, who has also worked with Jennifer Hudson and Mary J. Blige, said he was leaving Minaj, 30, to “reenergize” his creativity.

Davidson wrote:

“I would like to inform the media and supporters that I’ve decided to step away as hair stylist and wig creator for Nicki Minaj. It has been an amazing experience offering me a chance to express my creativity and exhibit my love for the art form of wig design. I have decided to part ways from Nicki Minaj because I would like to explore other opportunities within my own brand and reenergize my creativity through work in fashion editorial, beauty consultations, media personality, “how-to” lectures and hair show development. I am very proud of the body of work built with Nicki Minaj and I appreciate the support over the years from fans who¹ve expressed love for my craft. Look forward to seeing me larger than life in 2013.”

A source close to Davidson told Celebuzz that he quit following “a series of derogatory statements” by the “Starships” singer and her management.

Minaj has had a tempestuous relationship with many of her staff, according to reports.

Minaj reportedly unleashed a vicious tirade on a facialist in 2011.

“After I waxed her eyebrows and lip, she started screaming “Who the f**k do you think you are?”

Dawn DaLuise said, in an interview, “Look what you did to my damn face! You think this sh*t is worth 170 dollars?”

Fear not, though: Terrence’s work on Minaj will still be seen through the month of February when she appears on the American Idol tapings, the release said.

A judge has THROWN OUT a lawsuit that two black men filed against "The Bachelor" ... in which they claimed they were rejected from the show based on the color of their skin.

In the original suit, the men pointed out that every bachelor in the show's history has been white -- and claim producers intentionally stayed away from people of color because they feared an interracial relationship would alienate the show's "predominantly white viewership."

But a Tennessee judge has officially dismissed the case -- citing the 1st Amendment (Freedom of Speech) ... and explaining that the court cannot tell TV producers ... or movie producers ... or playwrights ... how to cast a production.

In fact, the judge explains that Freedom of Speech is why "The Cosby Show" could have an all-black cast ... why "Jersey Shore" can cast all-Italians ... and why "Shahs of Sunset" can cast all-Persians.

A rep for Warner Bros. -- which produces the show -- tells TMZ, "We felt from the onset this case was completely without merit and we are pleased the Court has found in our favor.”

‘American Idol’: Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj close to inking deals

Could the "American Idol" judges panel have two women and one man for Season 12? Maybe. The Hollywood Reporter is saying sources close to the show have divulged that R&B star Nicki Minaj and country artist Keith Urban are close to inking their deals.

Reportedly, Minaj is inking a deal in the $8 million range, while Urban is looking at the $3-4 million neighborhood. Mariah Carey previously signed a whopping $18 million one-year deal to join the show.

Will Randy Jackson make it a four-person panel? We hope not. Seasons 8 and 9 tried that and it was too much. Hopefully the rumors that he's moving to the role of "mentor" are true and hopefully the show doesn't think a panel of two women and one man isn't OK and forces a fourth judge spot. If two men and one woman work, why not the other way around?

Nicki Minaj may well become a judge on "American Idol," but it will be at the expense of Mariah Carey, who we're told hung up the phone when she was told Nicki was the top candidate.

Sources connected with "Idol" tell TMZ ... Mariah was led to believe she would be the only woman on the judge's panel. Choosing Nicki would not only crush that expectation, it would add insult to injury because Nicki (29) is a lot younger than Mariah (42).

As for the composition of the judge's panel, we're told by no means is it a done deal. There are 2 scenarios being played out. First, it's unclear if Randy Jackson will come back as a judge or a mentor. If he leaves the judge's panel, there will be another spot to fill.

The second scenario ... we're told some of the honchos believe it's a mistake to have 2 women and a man on the panel, and a 4th male judge would be necessary.

As for who's still in the running, we're told Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and Enrique Iglesias are leading the pack.

And there's one other thing ... Sources connected with the show say they're worried ... if the judges end up being Mariah, Nicki and Randy ... middle America might not welcome the blackout.

Mariah Carey is furious at American Idol execs for courting Nicki Minaj as a possible judge. Apparently she was under the impression that she would be the only woman on the panel, and insiders say that a two-vagina judging panel would certainly throw viewers for a loop, so it's obviously all still in talks. Because it's unclear whether Randy Jackson is resuming his gig as a judge or just mentoring, there's also some speculation about whether we'll see a 2-woman, 2-man 4-person judges table.

If you didn't fall asleep just then, Mimi was mad enough to hang up on producers when they told her, and then I imagine she vanished in a POOF of butterflies, sparkles and smoke.

Nicki Minaj is reportedly only inches away from signing up for "American Idol". Words on the street are, she will highly likely join Mariah Carey on the judging panel for the upcoming twelfth installment of the veteran singing competition.

"I'm not sure the deal is completely done yet, but yes, she is definitely doing it. A few more slight things to sign off on but it is happening," an insider tells Us Weekly. Another source says a similar thing, "100% confirmed to judge American Idol."

FOX has not released any comment on Minaj's alleged involvement.

Previously, The Hollywood Reporter said the producers might find some troubles in bringing her to the show since the Young Money femcee is the new face of Pepsi, which is a longtime rival of "Idol" sponsor Coke. The site also claimed that the judge line-up will include a country star and a Latin artist, with Keith Urban and Enrique Iglesias as the frontrunners.

The new season of "American Idol" will begin airing on FOX in early 2013 with Ryan Seacrest returning as the host. Nick Jonas confirmed he was in the running of becoming one of the new judges, but it hasn't been made official just yet.
