It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Henry Cavill in Batman v. Superman!

In the image, Cavill stares intently into the camera, while standing
in the pouring rain in his skintight blue Superman costume, adorned with
the "S," the cape, and red shoes. His hair is perfectly coiffed as he
is set against a scene of a dark, cloud-covered city.
The Tudors alum made his first turn as Superman in 2013's Man of Steel,
which was a massive hit. The movie brought in $668 million at the
worldwide box office and was nominated for BAFTA and MTV Movie Awards.

Cavill reprises the role in the upcoming action flick opposite Ben Affleck, who was famously cast as Batman to much uproar. "I'm sure he'll be fantastic," Cavill said of Affleck
at the time of his casting. "He's got his own style, he's not copying
anyone else. He's been tenacious in his career." In the months since the
announcement, Affleck, 41, has readied himself for the part, hitting
the gym to add on pounds of Batman-approved muscle mass.
The two superhero stars will also be joined onscreen by Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Diane Lane, and Jesse Eisenberg. Catch Batman v. Superman in theaters on May 6, 2016.
