While the action is in full-swing in London, the preparations for the 2016 Olympics are reaching new heights of sustainability. A 105-meter tower off the coast of Rio will have solar panels and water-powered turbines that will help light Olympic Village and parts of the city. The water tanks can even be released to create a stunning waterfall.
