Out in Singapore, Huawei has just launched their brand new 7-inch MediaPad, putting it in line with such tablets as the HTC Flyer and the Samsung Galaxy Tab. What sets it apart, though, is that it's running the Android 3.2.
Now, Huawei has stated that 3.2 is essentially Honeycomb optimized for 7-inch screens, so you might see a somewhat similar experience to the new Galaxy Tab 10.1. The 10.5mm body is still thicker than the iPad, but under the surface comes a 1.2Ghz Qualcomm dual-core processor, a 217 pixels-per-inch IPS touchscreen, front and rear-facing cameras for those sweet Skype sessions, and 8GB of internal storage. It also supports Bluetooth, 1080p video playback and comes with an HDMI output. While it does support 3G, Huawei has no plans for making a WiFi-only model, which kinda sucks for those who might prefer the option.
