The small and private wedding was only attended by a group of friends
and family, and the couple obtained their marriage license from, and
were married by, a local California judge. Plus, in everyday Brangelina
fashion, their kids were the main focus of the ceremony. According to
the source, Jolie was escorted down the aisle by Maddox and Pax.
Daughters Zahara and Vivienne threw the flower petals. And Shiloh and
Knox were the couple's ring bearers.
Sure, we've known that a wedding was in the works for Brad and Angie. The couple's been together for nine years and have been engaged for the past two. But they've publicly chosen to put off their wedding until marriage was available to everyone.
Though by the details coming out this morning, it seems like the
wedding plans have been underway for a while, especially since the kids
were eager for Mom and Dad to tie the knot.
"It seems to mean more and more to our kids," said Pitt in 2012. "We
made this declaration some time ago that we weren't going to do it 'til
everyone can. But I don't think we'll be able to hold out. It means so
much to my kids, and they ask a lot."
Looks like they've finally caved into the children's requests and made it official (we kid, we kid, it wasn't just about the kids, we're sure). But it looks like the entire thing was still a family affair.
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
