On the one-year anniversary of the death of Cory Monteith, Lea Michele took some time to reflect on her late boyfriend.
The Glee star, 27, traveled to San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, Calif. this past weekend to be with friends during the difficult milestone, Us Weekly has learned.
A source tells Us Weekly she spent the weekend at the relaxing luxury hotel with "a few girlfriends" and her new boyfriend Matthew Paetz in order to "remember Cory on the anniversary of his death."
After meeting her love on the set of Glee and dating for two years, Michele lost Monteith on July 13, 2013, when he passed away at the age of 31. She has stayed strong in the months since, continuing her work on Glee and starting to date again.
"She is in a good place but misses him every day," the source adds to Us.
Michele publicly acknowledged Monteith's memory on Twitter on Sunday, July 13, sharing a photo of her love smiling in front of a picturesque beach background.
"We hold you in our hearts today, and every day we remember your smile," she tweeted with the photo. "We will love you and miss you always."
(E! News also reported news of Michele's poignant trip.)
