He lost 40 pounds about five years ago thanks to giving up alcohol and hitting the gym hard.
So
it's no surprise Tim McGraw was eager to show off the jaw-dropping
results with a shirtless Twitter photo pointing out his outrageously
ripped six pack.
The 46-year-old country music singer - who is
married to Faith Hill - chose the bizarre water sport of jet pack flying
for his St Patrick's Day activity, as seen in Monday's snap.

Patrick's Day - showing off his epic six pack
In the photo that really does force a
double take, Tim is perched high above the water's surface, elevated by
the force of the jet pack which propels him forward at serious speed.
The
Grammy Award winning star's abs look almost cartoonish, with the
definition of his sculpted six pack appearing to be painted on.
'Here's how I'm spending St. Patrick's Day,' he wrote alongside the photo, in which he is surrounded by perfect blue skies.
But it's likely that Tim's firm muscular display was in fact real.
He
has worked very hard to whip himself into shape over the
last several years, shedding 40 pounds and perfecting his physique to
the nth degree.
The
Lookin' For That Girl singer has reportedly been on the Paleo diet,
stopped drinking and started working with martial arts expert and stunt
man Roger Yuan, who has raved about his client's fitness gusto.
'I
have trained a lot of people and many are hard workers, but Tim is
another animal,' said Yuan, who has worked with the likes of Daniel
Craig and Henry Cavill.
'I have to rein him in and have to tell him, "You can't do that much." There is no quitting in him.'
Tim spoke with People
magazine about his motivation to maintain his physical condition,
explaining: 'No one wants to grow up to be a rock star to sing the same
song over and over again in a studio. The reason you want to do this is
to be in front of thousands of people, playing that guitar and doing
what you love.'
Referencing his bodily self confidence, he went on to explain: 'And when I'm on stage, I want to feel good.'
Tim
is currently making his way around the country on his Sundown Heaven
Town Tour, before he and and his wife Faith Hill hit Las Vegas again to
resume a second leg of their Soul2Soul show at The Venetian.
