Hollywood Week ends on Thursday, February 13 when the Top 31 will be revealed by the judges. There will be 15 girls, but the judges will pick 16 guys, two of whom will face America's vote to decide which of them gets the final spot in the official Top 30.
Then comes Rush Week, with a double dose of two-hour live performances shows on Tuesday, February 18 and 19 at 8pm. The girls will perform on Tuesday and the guys on Wednesday, all mentored by returning Idol judge
Instead, the judges will announce on the live show which of their Top 15 from the guys and girls will get the chance to sing for America's votes. Some of the singers won't be picked, and they will simply be eliminated from the competition.
After each of those shows, America will vote for their favorites. Then on Thursday, February 20, we get the first live results show as the top five guys and top five girls from America's votes will make up the Top 10. Then the three judges,
American Idol returns to its normal format, with the Top 13 performing on Wednesday, February 26 and a live results show on Thursday, February 27.
