Simon Cowell has addressed L.A. Reid's exit on The X Factor for the first time after the chairman and CEO of Epic Records announced that he won't be returning as a judge next year. Cowell's tweet, "On a personal level, I'm going to miss @LA_Reid. On a business level, I'm also going to miss him," was posted on the show's official Twitter page.
While L.A. Reid revealed that he would like to see Jon Bon Jovi as his replacement on the judging panel, rumors are already brewing that Rihanna is being considered for the role. According The Sun's insider, Cowell is eyeing the singer as a judge on either the U.K. Or the U.S. Version of The X Factor, hoping that she could help improve the ratings.
"Simon is a huge admirer of Rihanna and knows she's star quality. As well as bringing an aura to the panel thanks to her current standing in music, she is also feisty and will make great TV. Simon loves these sort of characters," the source said.
Though there have also been reports that The X Factor might even reunite Rihanna and her off-and-on boyfriend Chris Brown as judges on the show, Cowell's spokesperson has already denied the rumors.
Meanwhile, season 2 finalists Fifth Harmony, Carly Rose Sonenclar and Tate Stevens were recently spotted by Just Jared in Venice Beach, California for The X Factor holiday themed photo shoot.
Fifth Harmony also thank their fans on Twitter for making it to finale.
"We honestly CANNOT believe we're here... This is legit insane ily guys so much 140 characters isn't enough to explain how thankful we are and @EmblemThree omg boys you are going to go SO far, this is just the beginning for you, we love you so much and miss you already," the group wrote.
