The newly-released trailer for the latest James Bond movie Skyfall has revealed that 007 will fake his own death.
In the preview, a government operative played by Naomie Harris takes aim through a rifle sight as Bond is seen fighting on the roof of a speeding train.
His boss M, played by Dame Judi Dench, tells her to "take the bloody shot".
Craig then plunges hundreds of feet from a viaduct into a river below after being shot.
M goes on to view a row of coffins draped with Union Flags but Bond returns to the screen by telling his boss: "Commander Bond reporting for duty."
Dame Judi responds: "Where the hell have you been?" To which 007 replies: "Enjoying death."
The new trailer for the Sam Mendes-directed film also shows Skyfall will feature a London Tube crash and an explosion at the MI6 headquarters in central London.
The secret agent is seen in conversation with the film's villain, played by Javier Bardem.
In Skyfall, there is an explosion at the MI6 headquarters in LondonBond tells him "everybody needs a hobby", with Bardem asking: "So what's yours?" Craig answers: "Resurrection."
It will not be the first time Bond has apparently died in the plot of one of the films. In You Only Live Twice he fakes his death to go undercover.
In Skyfall, Ralph Fiennes plays a government agent and Ben Whishaw is Q.
French actress Berenice Marlohe will star as one of the franchise's Bond Girls.
There is much speculation as to just who will provide Skyfall's theme tune, with Adele widely tipped to take on the iconic Bond mantle.
The 23rd Bond instalment will hit UK cinemas on October 26 and the US on November 9.
It will be Craig's third Bond film, having previously starred in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.
