Two insanely huge voices doing the biggest song imaginable, and it was a giant success. I hope the show permanently retires the song after this, because there’s no point to anyone ever singing it again on American Idol. If you were to make a shortlist of the greatest performances in 11 seasons on the how, this one would have to be a part of the discussion.
