If you’ve been a No Doubt fan since the beginning, then this next bit of news will please you. Alas, if you’re a fan of Gwen Stefani‘s solo career, then this next bit of news will NOT please you.
Stefani and No Doubt band members Tony Kanal (her ex/the subject of many a beat Stefani penned), Tom Dumont and Adrian Young sat down with Entertainment Weekly to talk about what’s next for the awesome-possum ska/pop/rock band (you can argue with me on what kind of genre No Doubt fits into, and we can agree to disagree). The entire interview will be featured in the upcoming issue of EW, on newsstands this Friday.
On her solo career, Stefani said, “That was a moment in time. It went on a little longer than we all thought it would, because it was inspired and you have to go with wherever you’re at in that time in your life … [But] everything works out how it should.” While we really enjoyed what Stefani put out on her own (“What You Waiting For” is a favorite), we’re super-excited to have the gang back and trust that any future music will be just as good as what they’ve given us so far
