Wello says:
She may be a media darling, but Rihanna’s fan following isn’t translating into sales.
Page Six reports that even with even with new management from Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, Rihanna has struggled to sell out arenas on her own. The singer has had to cancel dates in Phoenix, Dallas, Atlanta, Denver and Indianapolis due to low-ticket sales.
Rihanna’s manager, Jay Brown, has advised the singer to cancel some of her shows before the concert dates on her “Loud” tour.
Among her upcoming shows is a performance at T.D. Garden arena in Boston on July 24 with Cee Lo Green. So far only 3,700 tickets have been sold, far from the 15,000 needed for Roc Nation to break even. Unless sales pick up drastically between then and now, the company could be looking at half-million dollars in losses from the Boston concert alone.
Though the profit margin from her shows have been lower than expected, Rihanna’s expectations for the show have not taken the same hit.
Sources say while the ticket sales are sluggish, Rihanna is demanding all of the bells and whistles to make it a blow-out show. “It’s the normal diva requests,” an insider said, “which is tolerated, when you make money.”Source
It’s hard to imagine the pop diva doesn’t have the fan following to pack arenas. What’s the missing link? Tell us what you think, Clutchettes!

she’s not a great singer and unfortunately she doesn’t have to performance skills to make up.
she needs to work on that and give people a reason to want to go.
i no beyonce fan but i know if i went to a concert i’d be entertained . ciara isn’t an amazing singer but with her dancing you can go to her concert and be wowed
ri needs to learn to dance and or perform or her low sales will continue. who wants to go to a concert to watch someone who can’t sing, dance or perform? she needs something that will make someone want to spend their money to watch her in concert.
smaller venues is a good option, that and go into modelling or something where she can sell her image because she’s good at that.
