Rihanna fans, you’re not going to like this. It seems as though slowly Rihanna concert dates are being canceled, due to poor ticket sales.
Starting a few months ago, Rihanna made headlines when she began having difficulty selling tickets to her tour with Ke$ha and Travie McCoy. Last week she announced that she would have to drop her dates in Arizona and in Dallas.
“Rihanna’s people came up with some story that they were canceling the Arizona show because of the immigration issue, however that was a lie. It was because she couldn’t sell more than a third of the tickets.”
“The entire tour is starting to look like it willy LOSE money. 9 times out of 10, when promoters realize a tour is a money loser, it gets cancelled.”
The issue may be that Rihanna who has mostly a female audience, is trying to sell out arenas such as the Staples Center in Los Angeles instead of settling for smaller venues which would easily fill for her shows.
Last week, Christina Aguilera’s, another artist with weaning popularity, had her concert canceled.
