OPRAH Winfrey and Rosie O’Donnell are embroiled in a bitter feud!
According to RadarOnline, the pair have fallen out over Oprah’s decision to drop Rosie’s talk show from her OWN network because of poor ratings.
The problems are believed to have started when Oprah first called the comedienne to deliver the news.
“It was a very strained conversation, obviously. Oprah wanted to handle the announcement of the cancellation in a professional and dignified manner. Rosie thanked Oprah for the opportunity and ended the conversation very abruptly,” a source said.
“Rosie didn’t like the initial language of the press release because she felt that it placed sole responsibility of the failure of the show on her. Oprah didn’t need to get Rosie’s input or approval for the press release, but she was trying to be gracious.
“[OWN] got a phone call from Rosie’s camp, explaining what needed to be included into the press release. This is Oprah’s network, and she has the final say. Oprah told her staff to have Rosie call her directly to address her concerns. Rosie never called Oprah. She was having her people do all the dirty work for her.”

ROSIE O’Donnell is at war with her boss Oprah Winfrey!
The Hollywood funny woman — who recently split from her girlfriend of over a year, Tracy Kachtick-Anders — has reportedly come to blows with Oprah over the tone of her new show on OWN.
“Oprah and Rosie have not been seeing eye to eye on the tone of Rosie’s new show,” a source told the PopEater website.
“Oprah sees it as a friendly daytime talk show where viewers get to spend an hour with the old Rosie they used to love. Rosie, on the other hand, thinks the show should be more political and a place where she can express her liberal views.
“The two are disagreeing over staff.
“Oprah wants Rosie to use an executive producer that she knows and trusts while Rosie insists she be able to pick her own, fearing whoever Oprah picks will be a spy. It’s a bad way to start off, considering they haven’t even taped a single show yet.”

Charlize Theron Today Show Pictures
Charlize Theron looked every bit a movie star in her sleek black skirt and sunglasses as she stepped out after an interview for the Today show in NYC this morning. New mom Charlize, who just last week announced that she adopted a baby boy, was up bright and early today coming off a busy weekend promoting two movies at the star-studded WonderCon in Anaheim, CA. Charlize joined Kristen Stewart to talk Snow White and the Huntsman, which just had an exciting new trailer released. Charlize also sat on a panel with her Prometheus costars, including Michael Fassbender.
Charlize and Michael spent their Saturday evening together as well, attending the Human Rights Campaign Gala, where she made a few risqué comments about his revealing full frontal nudity scenes. Charlize said, "I have to say that I was truly impressed that you chose to play it big. Most other actors would have gone small, trust me. I know because I've worked with them."

OWNly Oprah knows the future of her Network!

Oprah Winfrey has cut 30 full-time employees from its struggling OWN Network, a move that represents a loss of nearly a fifth of its workforce. After the latest round of cuts, about 90 people remain on the OWN payroll, down from 150 employees at its peak.
“It is difficult to make tough business decisions that affect people’s lives,” Winfrey, OWN’s CEO and chief creative officer said in a written statement Monday. “But the economics of a start-up cable network just don’t work with the cost structure that was in place. As CEO, I have a responsibility to chart the course for long-term success for the network. To wholly achieve that long-term success, this was a necessary next step.”
With ratings continuing to average lower than what Discovery Health – the low-cost network OWN replaced in January 2011–earned, “no one was particularly surprised,” about the layoffs, an OWN insider tells FoxNews.com.
The cuts affected the New York and Los Angeles OWN offices and included top talent at the network. Senior vice president of production, Julie Stern, was one of the major players to get the axe. Michelle Holt, currently the vice president of production, will take over Stern’s responsibilities at OWN.
Discovery Communications, Inc., who has partnered with OWN, will now take a more hands-on approach to running Winfrey’s network.
Neal Kirsch, a veteran Discovery executive and chief financial officer of Discovery’s U.S. networks, will move to OWN in become chief operating officer and CFO.
OWN will also consolidate operations by having current vice president of business and legal affairs, Tina Perry, partner with Discovery’s Lee Bartlett, who is the network’s executive vice president of global production management, business and legal affairs.
Ian Parmiter, senior vice president of marketing for Discovery ad sales, will now oversee integrated marketing for OWN.
The restructuring represents a shift towards austerity at the network, which insiders tell FoxNews.com has been “burning through money” since its launch in 2011.
The layoffs will save the network approximately $20 million over the next two years, according to the Wall Street Journal. Discovery Communications had invested $312 million in the network as of Dec. 31.
"The cost structure was not sustainable; we had to right-size that," Discovery Senior Executive Vice President David Leavy acknowledged to the LA Times.
Despite the lack of returns, Discovery is steadfastly standing by Winfrey and OWN.
"We're as committed now as we've ever been and are bullish about the long-term value we are building," Leavy explained.
Monday’s news comes on the heels of the cancellation of Rosie O’Donnell’s underperforming talk show just five months after a much ballyhoo’d launch that included O’Donnell appearing on the October 2010 cover of Winfrey’s “O” magazine in fishnets and gold combat boots.
The “Rosie Show” continually struggled in the ratings, earning an anemic average of 186,000 viewers, and bottoming out with a low of just 60,000 for one episode.
In a scathing article in the “Daily Beast,” one disgruntled former “Rosie” staffer described conditions on the show as being a “f**king hellhole.”
“Rosie O'Donnell has failed again,” O’Donnell’s arch-nemesis, Donald Trump gloated on Twitter Monday following the news of the “Rosie Show” cancellation. “Her ratings were abysmal ... when will media executives learn that Rosie just hasn't got it.”
But it’s not all bad news at OWN. Ratings have creeped up at the network since Winfrey took over as CEO and chief creative officer of the channel back in July.
“Oprah’s Next Chapter,” which launched in January, scored its highest ratings ever with 3.5 million viewers tuning in to watch Winfrey’s interview with the late Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown.
“As tough as road as OWN has to meet their goals, I wouldn’t bet against the combination of Oprah Winfrey and Discovery Communications,” Melissa Grego, executive editor of Broadcasting & Cable, told FoxNews.com last October. “Ultimately what they need to do is find a few hits, and then they’re off to the races.”
Reduce Stress!
I’ve been asked to write about simplifying my life, and ways that I reduce stress. This is a heated subject for me – because it seems like there’s always something to stress about. Whether it’s cancer – or bills – or staying on top of homework, some days it feels like all I do is stress. I thought this was a really interesting subject, because it so applies to me these days. I sat down and thought to myself – what do I do to relieve stress?
Gardening.
My husband and I finally bought our first home almost 2 years ago now. In the home we rented for nearly 8 years, I never once was interested in gardening, or making the outside of the home more appealling, because it wasn’t my home! When we bought this house – all of a sudden I wanted to work in the yard, get my hands dirty, plant something – and watch it grow! I planted two gorgeous English rose plants in front of my house, and it was so fulfilling and rewarding. Being outside and working in the yard is such a stress reliever for me. And watching the flowers bloom all summer long – and into the fall – was very rewarding!
Get out and get active!
Being an Oregonian, we are so blessed with so many things to do year round. We have Mt. Hood and the beach within two ours of our home in opposite directions. I love being outdoors, and getting some fresh air! I think this is probably my #1 stress reliever. Being outside, being active, being with my family enjoying so many of the attractions Oregon has to offer. All I have to do is spend a day at the beach, and it’s like someone’s completely re-wound my clock. Now, if only we could do something about this rain!
Travel
I was so fortunate this year to get out to both New York City (Brooklyn Bridge above… I didn’t take the picture, but you can see more of this series HERE) and Los Angeles. Travelling could get veeeeeeeeeeeeeery addicting. Being able to escape for a couple days is unlike anything else, in my opinion. I was able to go to the top of the Empire State Building – and ride my bike down Venice Beach boardwalk. And you don’t have to go far, either! I love nothing more than to travel in my own home state! Pick a place – make a plan! If you’re like me, you love camping…. that’s a great way to travel cheap and have so much fun!
GaGa Wants a Furlough........Really??????
Oprah Winfrey's "Support OWN So I Don't Have To Put On A Reality Show Where Gayle And I Go To Work As Colonic Irrigation Technicians" campaign is picking up steam. Following up her kinda predatory-in-the-timing interview with Bobbi Kristina, God went to Gaga's mom's place and spoke to mother and attentionsuck.
Gaga sez her creative process involves her closing herself off from the world (*eye-roll*) and then informed O that this would be her last interview during her Born This Way Ball Tour (ugh, please edit that title).
"No press, no television, if my mom calls and says, 'Did you hear about ...' I shut it all off ... I don't read a damn thing," Gaga claimed. There is no way this one shuts off her Watchmen multimedia wall globally attuned to every little mention of her. She's got a @ladygaga Twitter feed that runs inside her eyelids.
And the big funny statement:
"Other than this interview, Oprah, I do not intend to speak to anyone for a very long time."
*chortle* Does anyone else envision Michael K. dancing a gay little jig over that statement? Uh, actually those are just booze-induced seizures.
This ain't gonna happen, by the way. Ms. Germanotta gave imaginary interviews in her nappies. Gaga without a camera in her face and a mike in her mouth is like like Lohan without courthouse camera clicks or cocainya. It would be a horrible Trainspotting-esque withdrawal scene for both of them. Gaga's real hair might actually grow back if she stopped giving interviews.
Oh, and she also says that she wants kids. She wants enough for "a soccer team". The kid playing goalie is gonna look sorta weird with glass dildo cleats.
