SHIA Labeouf admits he has reservations about his role in Lars von Trier‘s The Nymphomaniac.
The actor was confirmed to be in talks for the erotic drama earlier this month, and although he is now firmly attached, he admits he’s terrified to begin shooting.
“He’s very dangerous. He’s the most dangerous dude I’ve ever showed up for,” LaBeouf told MTV. “I’m terrified.”
The Transformers star went on to confirm that the film, which also stars Charlotte Gainsbourg, Stellan Skarsgård, Nicole Kidman and Willem Dafoe, will require him and his co-stars to perform genuine sexual acts on screen.
“It is what you think it is. There’s a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says, we’re doing [the sex] for real. And anything that is ‘illegal’ will be shot in blurred images, but other than that, everything is happening.”
“I’m only going to work now when I’m terrified,” LaBeouf added.
