SEACREST has been IDOL's host since it launched 11 seasons ago.
"It's been a wild ride, and I'm excited for my journey with AMERICAN IDOL to continue," SEACREST said in a statement.
In a FOX statement, show creator SIMON FULLER noted that SEACREST had been with the program "from the very first day." and said "I can't imagine the show without him."
AMERICAN IDOL host and syndicated radio star RYAN SEACREST pocketed another $30 million YESTERDAY (4/23), when the FOX TV show renewed his contract for another two years as host of IDOL. The contract was scheduled to expire at the end of this season -- and was renewed for two years at the current rate of $15 million per year.
