Video footage has surfaced of Kim Kardashian getting flour bombed on Thursday night, March 22, at West Hollywood’s London Hotel.
The TMZ video shows Kim covered in flour as her mother Kris Jenner rushes to her side, and they shuffle off the carpet.
The 31-year-old reality star was at the hotel for an event in support of her new fragrance True Reflection when she was hit with a white powdery substance. The female culprit was detained, but released after Kim decided not to press charges.
The Los Angeles Police Department sent out officers to the scene and paramedics were also called out, though Kim declined medical attention. Kim told E! after she was all cleaned up, “That probably is the craziest, unexpected, weird thing that ever happened to me. Like I said to my makeup artist, I wanted more powder and that’s a whole lot of translucent powder right there.”
Kim’s sisters had her back following the incident with Kourtney and Khloe both sending out tweets, Khloe sending out more than one.
Despite speculations that PETA was to blame (or even momager Kris was behind it all for publicity), it's not currently clear what the assailant's intentions really were. It's a bit ironic, as this flour bombing is somewhat reminiscent of the recent Ryan Seacrest incident with Sacha Baron Cohen (ahem, "The Dictator"), where the E! News host got doused in fake powdery ashes during the Oscars red carpet. Except in Seacrest's case, he knew exactly who his attacker was!
