Floor Plan

From the architect. The house is located in the centre of a
garden. Each single room is oriented to one of the trees. The living
room faces the apple tree, the master bedroom, the cherry tree, the
bathroom faces the peach tree, the guest room, the silver spruce and the
children’s room, the walnut. Each room has its unique view and
atmosphere.

The building is resting like a lizard in a sun-lit meadow. The
inspiration for the proposal of this house is in fact a chameleon.

Eyes (windows) unrestrictedly observe the surroundings. The skin
(facade), consisting of a semi-gloss coat, partly reflects the colours
of the garden and the sky.

The geometry of the walls creates two different types of spaces
within one plot: “The house spaces” and “the garden spaces”. “The house
spaces” are facing the trees in the garden, whereas the “garden spaces”
are intervals between “the house spaces”, since they are in fact
invisible from the interior.

Pakistani woman, 20, gang-raped, killed and hanged from a tree, say police

A 20-year-old woman was gang-raped, killed and hanged from a tree in
Pakistan in a case that bears a chilling resemblance to a double rape
and murder that caused outrage in neighbouring India last month.

Pakistani
police said Muzammil Bibi was attacked by three men in a field in the
impoverished Layyah area of densely populated Punjab province.

Senior
officer Sadaqat Ali Chohan said: 'This is the first time in my 22 years
of service in the police that I have seen such a case, where a girl was
raped in this way and found hanging from a tree.

'We have heard of such cases in India but never in Pakistan. The
girl's clothes were torn. We took her down and moved her to hospital.

'Her body had signs of resistance. We have arrested three individuals who have confessed to the crime.'

According to police, the 20-year-old resisted the rape and her attackers strangled her.



Police said her parents spent all night looking for her and found her body hanging the next morning.

In
a shockingly similar crime which took place in May, two teenage cousins
were found hanging from a tree after being raped in the north of India.

Three men have been arrested over the killings. Two policemen were held on suspicion of trying to cover up the crime.

Shortly after the incident, a lawmaker
from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ruling party described
rape as a social crime, saying 'sometimes it's right, sometimes it's
wrong.'

The controversial remarks came as
political leaders of Uttar Pradesh - the state where the two cousins aged 12
and 14 were raped and hanged - faced criticism for
failing to visit the scene.

Another
regional politician from Modi's party, the Bharatiya Janata Party
(BJP), said the crime of rape could only be considered to
have been committed if it is reported to police.

But despite a rape being reported in India every 21 minutes on average, law
enforcement failures mean that such crimes are often not reported.

The cases have triggered a debate throughout the region about violence against women.

Backfired My Man Your Plan: Jarre & Stamos: Adam & Steve

We've seen John Stamos cuddle with Bob Saget, and we've seen his kisses auctioned off
for a good cause, but now it seems like the former "Full House" hunk
just genuinely loves kissing men (or at least pulling off a good prank).
Vine superstar Jerome Jarre has become most famous for unexpectedly
smooching other people and seeing how they react. A recent attempt,
however, left the shocked Jarre with a mouthful of Stamos and a lot of
unwarranted anti-gay backlash.

Jarre posted the video to his 6.1 million followers on Vine with the
tongue in cheek (pun intended) caption: “KISSPRANK BACKFIRED - CHILDHOOD
RUINED - #FULLHOUSE #FULLMOUTH w/ John Stamos.”

He expected the same light, fun comments he usually gets on videos.
Instead, his comment feed was littered with homophobic statements. “Gay.
Unfollowed,” reads one. “God made Adam and Even not Adam and Steve,”
reads another.

"I am receiving death threats now, but I would not delete this Vine
for anything in the world," Jarre told Mashable in an interview.

Rather than give into the gay panic, Jarre opted to create a new
video, revealing he has a "beautiful girlfriend" and then smooching
fellow Vine user Nicholas Megalis. The best part? Megalis is done up in
some particularly unconvincing drag.

"I'm sick of seeing kids being bullied for living their lives. Ignorance is so dangerous," Megalis told Mashable.
"And as someone who makes things, it is my job to make something I
actually believe in. And I believe in this. Gay, straight, alien.
Doesn't mean shit. Love is love is love."

Jennifer Lopez Talks Mariah Carey "Feud," Dishes on Exes Casper Smart, Ben Affleck & Cris Judd

Jennifer Lopez isn't afraid to air her dirty laundry!

The "I Luh Ya Papi" singer stopped by "Watch What Happens Live" on Thursday, where she opened up about her exes Casper Smart, Ben Affleck and Cris Judd and also talked about her "feud" with Mariah Carey.

Lopez was nervous to participate in the "Plead the Fifth" segment, which allows for only one veto. "Can I leave? Am I trapped in here?" she asked. "I'm gonna start having anxiety."

Host Andy Cohen started with her love life, asking J.Lo about Affleck's fashion transformation.

"I
did kind of like, say, 'You're a movie star! You should wear a suit!
You should do this with your hair!' For sure. I mean, I do that," the
44-year-old star admitted. "By the way, guys do that to girls, too: 'I
like that dress better than the other dress.'" According to Lopez,
Affleck "was into it. He didn't do anything he didn't want to do...He
had some good fashion moments when he was with me!"

Cohen also
asked Jennifer whether dancers, singers or actors are better in bed. "I
have to say that in my limited experience, I would have to say anybody
involved in music," she offered. "So I would say singers and dancers. I
forgot my card! Dammit! I could've pleaded the fifth!"

don't have a feud against her at all," the mother-of-two said. "I know

Jennifer Aniston is said to be freaked out by her fiance Justin Theroux’s veins! I guess when she looks at him and sees his bulgy veins, she sees Angelina Jolie.


A source said, “Jennifer is begging Justin to cool it with the
free-weight workouts. She says she’s turned off by his ultra-muscular
body. She wants her man to be in shape, but it creeps her out that he
has veins jutting out on his arms, legs, chest and neck.”


The source went on to say, “She says that when she looks at Justin,
she feels like she’s staring at a pumped-up male version of Angelina.
Jen has always thought Angelina is sickly looking and skinny. She even
nicknamed her ‘toothpick.’”


Justin doesn’t exactly like the comparison to her ex-husband’s
girlfriend and feels it’s absurd. The source added, “He views this as

Britney Spears’ team finally admits that she’s rarely singing live in Las Vegas

I spent WAY too long reading this epic Britney Spears article
yesterday afternoon. Seriously, once I finished reading it (and I
skimmed some parts of it!) it felt like an hour had passed and I was
thirsty and disoriented. So, if you have some time set aside and you
want to read a really intensive article about Britney’s Las Vegas
residency (an article that barely quotes Britney herself), go here.
The biggest headline out of this piece is that even Britney’s handlers
admit that she’s not singing live. Durr. But there are a few other
gems too. Some highlights:

Journalists always bring Britney food:
That’s what the interviewers do. They come and they give her food.
Yesterday had been her 32nd birthday. Mario Lopez had brought cupcakes.
(The month before, a foreign journalist had asked her what her birthday
plans were. “Probably working,” she’d said. His response: “You’re so
American.”)


The X-Factor debacle: She was terrible at the banter
and bitchy sound bites that are so much the matter of those talent
shows. Britney came up in a time of CDs, one of her managers, Adam
Leber, reminded me, before interaction with fans was so unpredictable
and needy and could come at you through your phone. But it wasn’t just
that, really. She told her publicist, Jeff Raymond, that watching other
people perform made her wistful. She wasn’t ready to hang it up in her
early 30s and assume the bizarre position of grande dame judge, trotted
out for her wisdom rather than her talent, like Liza Minnelli or an
errant Pussycat Doll. Britney quit before Simon Cowell could fire her so
she could quit before he could fire her.


Putting together Piece of Me: Britney’s contract for
this show, which pays a reported $15 million (about $300,000 per show),
demands that she create a spectacle that’s bigger than anything she’d
done before, so that people who had seen her live before would still be
tempted to come. (Celine’s first residency featured 53 dancers and a
bunch of clowns, impractical to take on the road, to say the least.)
Fine by Britney. She told Baz Halpin, the show’s creative director, that
she wanted elements: fire, water, snow. She wanted a jungle theme,
which is something she always wants. Halpin loved the idea and gave her a
tree to jump off of in the middle of the third act; it’s 56,000 pounds
and 32 feet high and takes six people to move.


Whether she sings live: Our expectations of a woman
in her 30s who has built two people in her body might be a little bit of
a reach. “To put on the show that she puts on, it’s virtually
impossible to sing the entire time and do what she does,” Adam Leber
told me. “She’s singing on every song, basically, when she has the
ability to sing. There’s no way you can dance for 90 minutes straight
and sing the entire time.”


Her conservatorship: Sources close to Caesars, which
means that they work at Caesars, tell me: that the company had insisted
on the conservatorship just in case, and that it must remain throughout
her contract.

It’s actually a really interesting, well-researched piece, but it’s
verbose. And then some. I found out some new stuff, including the fact
that Britney still pays Kevin Federline $25,000 a month in child
support. I learned that Britney hates crowds and that she has an
excessive amount of managers and “staff.” I also learned that she
really likes her backup dancers and she enjoys being on stage with them.
As far as the “Britney doesn’t sing live” thing… well, that’s nothing
new. It is interesting that Britney’s team is admitting it now. So,
why are people going to Britney’s show again? To see her dance around
(badly) and lip-sync?

was available for rent for $10,000 per month or for sale for $4.5
million. She posted all the photos of her loft on her blog,
saying of her entry hall, “This is my entry ‘hall.’ To me, it is a womb
with a narrow birth channel, and then you enter the wide open sunny
loft to be born again.”

After actress Kate Winslet and ex-husband director Sam Mendes split
in 2010, the couple began to split their assets, and Winslet decided to rent out
their four-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath duplex in Chelsea, Manhattan
for the tune of $30,000 per month. With 13-foot ceilings, 12 oversize
windows, and 1,700-square-foot, the penthouse loft was one titanic
space.

Actress Mischa Barton’s 9,798-square-foot Beverly Hills compound,
which includes a main home and three separate guesthouses (with a total
of six bedrooms and 11 baths), is on the market for $8.7 million. Until
it sells, she has listed the Italianate gated villa for rent for $27,000 per month.

Blond bombshell Pamela Anderson was hoping to sell her three-bedroom,
three-bath Malibu beach house, listing it for sale early last year for
$7.75 million. With no luck, she’s put the house up for rent numerous times, including most recently in April this year for $27,500 per month.
One block from the ocean, the teak-sided house is beautifully remodeled
and is the epitome of California living with an ultra-wide swinging
glass door that opens the outdoors to an open living room and kitchen.

Before selling his Malibu home in December for $17.35 million,
Leonardo Caprio put the oceanfront property in the ritzy Malibu Colony
area up for rent for a whopping $75,000 per month
— and for $115,000 a month for short-term rental. The house includes an
ocean-facing main house and a guest house with a total of seven
bedrooms and seven baths. Not bad for a contemporary Gatsby.

Android and Windows Phone devices will add a kill switch

The New York Attorney General has signed agreements with Google and
Microsoft to add "kill switches" to Android and Windows Phone devices.



It comes as part of the "Secure our Smartphones" initiative, where
the report stresses the importance of kill switch safeguards for mobile
phone platforms in order to keep user data safe.

The kill switch issue has been one that's been hotly discussed.
For example, in California, the kill switch idea was immediately
rejected, but then the state recently approved it this May. This bill
states that whenever a new phone is purchased in the state of
California, it must be loaded with the kill switch software.



Apple already has a kill switch feature loaded on its iPhones, and
the New York City Attorney General cited that there was a 19% decrease
in iPhone thefts ever since the feature was implemented; whereas Samsung
phones that still didn't carry the feature experienced a 40% increase
in robberies.



Now it's unclear as to when the kill switches will be added to the
Android and Windows Phone platforms, but when they are, every one of
Google and Microsoft's phones will have a kill switch.
