Lady Gaga has criticised radio stations in Malaysia after they banned her single 'Born This Way'.
The single, which feature such lyrics as ''no matter gay, straight or bi, lesbian, transgendered life, I'm on the right track baby", was dubbed over across Malaysian radio stations
.
In an interview with Google the singer said that the Malaysian radio bosses were 'promoting homosexuality'.
''Well obviously I disagree with it, otherwise I wouldn't have specifically put those words in the song," Gaga said
She added: "All the young people in Malaysia that want those words to be played on the radio, it is your job and it is your duty as young people to have your voices heard. You must do everything that you can if you want to be liberated by your society."
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga
has become the first musician in history to achieve over 20 million digital singles sales.
