They say you can judge how sexy a country is by the number of hot models it produces. Well, okay, no one really says that, but I believe it to be true. The ladies represented here are either models or celebs that have done their fair share of modeling (as evidenced by the links attached to some of their photos and names). This list is by no means comprehensive (though it is rather staggering) because as I have found out there is somewhere in the neighborhood of around 7,439 professional (and semi-professional) models in the world and 98% of them are really, really good-looking.
You can argue with the rankings all you want (and no doubt will, just be nice), but one thing you absolutely cannot argue with is the fact that all of these countries produce some seriously bodacious women. And not to brag, but if you ended up considering this list of OVER 400 OF THE SEXIEST WOMEN IN THE WORLD your pseudo-bible of babes I would to-tally understand.
Some countries made their way on to this list based on the sheer volume of sexy women they possess. Some countries are on here for the quality of the heavenly ladies who call them home (aka “supermodels”). And a rare few score very high on both counts. (Bonus points for models vs. actresses.) You see, it really is all about the science. Just kidding… sort of. So, without further ado, presenting The 25 Sexiest Countries in the World.
The Republic of Colombia may be known by many for some of the more nefarious ‘exports’ it has produced over the years, but this country of around 45 million people also churns out some of the most beautiful women in the world (as anyone who watches Modern Family can attest). And it’s no wonder since it’s bordered by Venezuela and Brazil, making the entire area a cornucopia of sexy Latin women.
Sandra Valencia, Melissa Giraldo, Carla Ossa, and Karen Carreno
Also of note: Natalia Paris, Catalina Otalvaro, Manuela Arbelaez, Adriana Arboleda, Sara Jaramillo, Carolina Guerra, Danna Garcia, Sofia Vergara, Maria Fernanda Yepez, Shakira
Argentina, the second largest country in South America, has a literacy rate of 97% so the nice thing about the many beautiful women this country produces is that so while these women have tremendous beauty they’re also quite capable of carrying on an intelligent conversation. Always a plus in a supermodel, which they have been producing since Valeria Mazza was discovered at the age of 16 in 1988.
Belen Rodriguez, Marcela Kloosterboer, Luli Fernandez, and Carolina Ardohain
Also of note: Romina Belluscio, Yamila Diaz, Maki Soler, Liz Solari, Ines Rivero, Valeria Mazza, Lola Ponce, Zaira Nara, Victoria Vanucci, Brenda Gandini, Florencia Salvioni, Carolina Baldini, Pamela David, Luciana Salazar, Ursula Vagues, Claudia Ciardone, Yesica Toscanini, Rocio Guirao Diaz, Jesica Cirio
The Hellenic Republic, as Greece is also known, may be the birthplace of democracy, Western philosophy, the Olympic Games, Western literature, political science, and Western drama, but it is also the birthplace of some of the sexiest women on the planet. Which is quite staggering since the country has only around 11 million inhabitants or just over half as many people as Metro New York City.
Sofia Georgiou, Katerina Stikoudi, Diana Ygropoulou, and Olga Farmaki
Also of note: Sasha Basta, Christina Stefanidi, Christina Moustaka, Christina Koletsa, Despina Vandi, Katerina Papoutsaki, Natali Thanou, Ria Antoniou, Stella Dimetriou, Artemis Alexandratou, Paulina Kostagiou, Mara Darmousli, Axia Andreadaki, Eirini Karra, Evangelia Aravani, Katia Zygouli, Marietta Chrousala, Valentini Daskaloudi
Had the Soviet Union not broken up it might have found itself at or near the top of these rankings as the combined sex appeal of Russia, Lithuania, Belarus, and the Ukraine made it a true sexual superpower. Even so, Russia more than holds it’s own in the modeling world with one of the ultimate prizes, the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover, going to a model from this former communist state (Irina Shayk).
Anne Vyalitsyna, Irina Shayk, Laura Blokhina, and Natalia Vodianova
Also of note: Irina Nikolaeva, Natasha Poly, Natasha Alam, Tatiana Kovylina, Tatyana Andriyash, Tatyana Kotova, Daria Konovalova, Vlada Roslyakova, Sasha Pivovarova, Iryna Rozhik, Valentina Zelyaeva, Anna Selezneva, Katia Ivanova, Maria Berseneva, Victoria Lopyreva, Olga Kobozina, Anna Semenovich, Yulia Snigir, Masha Novoselova, Svetlana Milinzova, Anna Kournikova
Judit Masco was the first Spanish woman to appear as the cover model for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue back in 1990, but Spain has always been a hotbed of gorgeous women with that tradition living on as strong today as it did back then (just check out few TV shows that air in this country for proof). It must be something in the Mediterranean Sea air that helps create such beauty.
Sheila Marquez, Helen Lindes, Estefania Luyk, and Kira Miro
Paz Vega, Edurne Garcia, Elsa Pataky, and Monica Cruz
Also of note: Clara Alonso, Ana Fernandez, Adriana Abenia, Paula Prendes, Melanie Olivares, Ursula Corbero, Noelia Lopez, Cristina Brondo, Dafne Fernandez, Elena Furiase, Pilar Rubio, Amaia Salamanca, Mirella Mendoza, Patricia Conde, Gaby Bo, Inma Cuesta, Berta Collado Rivera, Nereida Gallardo, Penelope Cruz
Anyone in the United States with even the slightest bit of interest in television knows that Mexican TV is filled with some of the most gorgeous women in the world (women who are not averse to posing in lingerie for the country’s several excellent men’s magazines). It’s why even though many of us don’t speak a lick of Spanish we occasionally find ourselves entranced by the weather forecast in Mexico or wondering why “Maria” is so upset with “Jorge”. Mexico also boasts having the current Miss Universe so they have that going for them as well. Which is nice.
Maite Perroni, Patricia Navidad, Ninel Conde, and Cynthia Urias
Ximena Navarrete, Barbara Mori, Elsa Benitez, and Mayrin Villanueva
Also of note: Daniela de Jesus Cosio, Fernanda Castillo, Marisol Gonzalez, Ana Serradilla, Vanessa Huppenkothen, Ines Gomez Mont, Ines Sainz, Alessandra Rosaldo, Eiza Gonzalez, Aleida Nunez, Julieta Grajales, Lili Brillanti, Arleth Teran, Vanessa Arias, Martha Higareda, Natalia Jimenez, Luz Elena Gonzalez, Anahi Portillo, Sugey Abrego, Karla Diaz, Montserrat Oliver, Adriana Fonseca, Claudia Lizaldi, Elizabeth Gutierrez, Mariana Ochoa, Paulina Rubio, Salma Hayek
England: Home of the best men’s magazines in the world: From Zoo to Nuts to Loaded and Front, there seems to be an unlimited supply of sexy ladies willing to pose wearing little to no clothing. And not just any women either, some of the most beautiful, most well-endowed women in the world pose weekly for these publications. It almost makes one want to move to England and take up the fine art of photography.
Kelly Brook, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Lucy Pinder, and Elle Liberachi
Jessica-Jane Clement, Keeley Hazell, Cheryl Tweedy, and Gemma Merna
Also of note: Alice Goodwin, Rosie Jones, Lauren Pope, Layla Kayleigh, Danielle Lloyd, Lily Donaldson, Jourdan Dunn, Naomi Campbell, Suzanne Shaw, Francoise Boufhal, Rhian Sugden, Rosie Roff, Emma Frain, Vikki Blows, Madison Welch, Sophie Reade, Danica Thrall, Abigail Clancy, Emma B, Talulah Riley, Gemma Atkinson, Charlotte Jackson, Amy Jackson, Vanessa Perroncel, Alice Eve, Jade Ewen, Elizabeth Hurley, Gemma Arterton, Jorgie Porter, Jennifer Metcalfe, Emma Watson, Emily Blunt, Kara Tointon, Roxanne Pallett, Keira Knightley, Kaya Scodelario, Rachel Weisz, Kate Beckinsale
The land down under is like England South when it comes to the sexy women who pose for lad mags, but they also have a few more models that fall into the “super” category (you may have heard of a few of them), plus they’ve produced a winner of the Miss Universe competition in the last decade. Oh yes, there’s also that one model that pretty much took over the world in the 1990s and has been on the cover of the SI Swimsuit issue a record five times — no one else even has four (hint: her nickname is “The Body”).
Jessica Hart, Miranda Kerr, Jennifer Hawkins, and Emily Scott
Jesinta Campbell, Jessica Gomes, Lara Bingle, and Sophie Monk
Also of note: Abbey Lee Kershaw, Catherine McNeil, Ellie Gonsalves, Candace Rae, Rachael Neiberding, Jessica Bratich, Erin McNaught, Krystal Forscutt, Tina Wallman, Elle Macpherson, Clare Werbeloff, Simone Starr, Sophie Turner, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Rachael Finch, Laura Dundovic, Sarita Stella, Gemma Lee Farrell, Nicole Trunfio, Annette Melton, Siobhan Parekh, Holly Valance, Rose Byrne, Gabriella Cilmi, Nicole Kidman, Yvonne Strahovski, Kylie Minogue, Isabel Lucas, Kellie Crawford, Anna Torv, Isla Fisher
Seven Miss Universe titles (plus five more from Puerto Rico) puts the United States well on top in that little competition, but the States also can take pride in knowing that it has the most “Angels” on the Victoria’s Secret roster, not to mention over 60 ladies overall since the company was founded. Oh, and there’s that whole Swimsuit Issue thing. The U.S. perfected that with legends like Cheryl Tiegs, Christie Brinkley, Carol Alt, Kathy Ireland, and Tyra Banks donning bikinis and making the issue notoriously exciting for men the world over. And we can’t forget Jill Goodacre’s contributions to the early years of the Victoria’s Secret catalog. No, we sure can’t.
Brooklyn Decker, Marisa Miller, Lily Aldridge, and Lindsay Ellingson
Erin Heatherton, Jessica Alba, Minka Kelly, and Halle Berry
Also of note: Jessica White, Kylie Bisutti, Kate Upton, Alyssa Miller, Shannan Click, Chanel Iman, Darla Baker, Missy Rayder, Emily DiDonato, Maggi Caruthers, Natalie Pack, Chrissy Teigen, Hilary Rhoda, Jarah Mariano, Christy Turlington, Dani Evans, Trish Goff, Cameron Russell, Julie Henderson, Cameron Richardson, Rachel Clark, Josie Maran, Tori Praver, Melissa Baker, Hannah Davis, Quiana Grant, Jaime King, Ariel Meredith, Ali Michael, Hope Dworaczyk, Sara Jean Underwood, Adrianne Curry, Scarlett Johansson, Eva Longoria, Megan Fox, Eva Mendes, Vanessa Hudgens, Kim Kardashian, Olivia Wilde, Emmy Rossum, Zoe Saldana, Leighton Meester, Katy Perry, Anne Hathaway, Christina Hendricks, Rosario Dawson, Blake Lively, Nicole Scherzinger, Jessica Biel
Guess who is second on the list for the most current Victoria’s Secret “Angels”? Over 25 women overall have donned the legendary company’s lingerie over the years, with arguably the three top models in Victoria’s Secret history roster hailing from the largest country in South America. This should come as no surprise though because Brazil has been churning out internationally sexy ladies since Maria Joao generated the most cancellations in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue history with her cover back in 1978 (you may have also heard of her daughter, a young lady named Jordana Brewster).
Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Raica Oliveira, and Emanuela de Paula
Daniela Freitas, Gisele Bundchen, Izabel Goulart, and Isabeli Fontana
Also of note: Cintia Dicker, Isabela Soncini, Gracie Carvalho, Lisalla Montenegro, Caroline Francischini, Ana Beatriz Barros, Michelle Alves, Flavia Lucini, Elisandra Tomacheski, Mariana Weickert, Raquel Zimmermann, Jeisa Chiminazzo, Ana Claudia Michels, Ellen Rocche, Fernanda Lima, Ana Paula Araujo, Caroline Trentini, Luciana Vendramini, Renata Kuerten, Leticia Birkheuer, Fabiana Semprebom, Flavia de Oliveira, Luiza Brunet, Luisa Mell, Ana Carolina Dias, Cinthia Moura, Ana Hickmann, Luli Miller, Luciana Bertolini, Rayanne Morais, Amanda Rosa, Daniella Sarahyba, Camila Alves, Katarina Scola, Juliana Martins, Fabiana Mayer, Fabiana Tambosi, Miryan Martin, Nicole Bahls, Deborah Secco, Juliana Didone, Bia Feres, Branca Feres
