As 1,900 invitations to Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding make their way to invited guests across the U.K. and the world, one famous former member of the royal family won't be getting one.
The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, is to be absent from the April 29 nuptials, PEOPLE has confirmed.
Fergie, 51, will be overseas, her representative says, though she was not anticipating being invited in any case. 'She will not be attending. She never expected to be invited,' the spokesman says."
But her spokesman insisted she had already decided to snub them first. He said: “She doesn’t think it will be relevant or appropriate for her to attend.”

Her vow to do ‘everything she can’ to stave off bankruptcy amid £5million debts, you might have thought, would have put paid to her jetsetting lifestyle.
But now Sarah Ferguson has a little money in her hands, she is celebrating with an exclusive shopping trip in the Caribbean followed by an extravagant skiing holiday.
The Duchess of York was spotted clutching a wad of cash as she shopped with Robbie Williams’s wife Ayda Field on the island of St Barts this week.

Winfrey offered the cash-strapped Black Sheep of the Royal Family her own TV docu-drama shortly after she was caught in a tabloid sting trying to sell access to her former husband, Prince Andrew, for $500,000 last spring. The Duchess of York’s Finding Sarah reality show had been scheduled to launch this spring on Winfrey’s new OWN network, but now the six-part comeback series will premiere this summer, a spokesperson for the network said Sunday.
